Its Coooooooold ! :(
Boy, is it cold out!
I sooo don't want my hair to suffer. The only protective style that I am ready to do throughout this season is bunning but I'm scared my hair will suffer.
I feel like hiding it away from the cold by using weaves or braids but I made a promise to myslef that I will learn how to take care of my hair in any weather without those types of protective styles. I am already experiencing a bit more breakage so the alarms in my head have gone off and I constantly worrying about what I am going to do to remedy the situation. The one thing that I have decided to do is to up my deep conditioning moments in the week.
Currently, I only deep condition once but I am gonna do it twice a week and see how that goes. I haven't decided what conditioner to use. I did make a cheeky purchase this week. I got the VO5 Give Me Moisture conditioner.
It smells GORGEOUS!!!
I used it a couple of days ago and my hair felt softer and moistured. The moisturizing hair lotion I am using at the moment is Luter's S Curl but it still isn't doing it for me :( I don't know what's happened. I guess my hair is so used to me changing products it's prompting me to try a new moisturizing lotion lol.
Then another way I could minimise breakage is by finger combing. But the thing with that is, my hair doesn't look smooth at all. Or maybe its all in my head. I seriouly feel better when I've combed or brushed it. Although, I don't brush my hair these days because its waaaay too painful :/ I can literally hear and feel the strands being yanked out *shivers*. I am going to have a youtube sesh again to find some more tips. All the blogs I've found have been written by people who had great hair to begin with; shoulder-length, full and healthy. I am at the awkward stage where it feels you can't try to look decent at all. If you feel buns don't suit your face then you are screwed 'cause that's what you are going to have to wear all year round for the foreseeable future loool.
Oh well, I hope I find something that works soon! But for now, I'm off to work on my dissertation. Such fun!
Luv, Mo xx
