I wish that I did not lack this but sadly, when it comes to certain things in life, I do. It is such a useful character trait that can help keep you focused and be more likely to achieve the results you want. It is hard sometimes to follow through on objectives that you have set for yourself to complete by a certain deadline. But I feel that there are crucial ingredients that need to be in the mix of your dreams in order for you to attain them; Discipline and determination are two of them. I am at a point in my life where the next major milestone or chapter is right around the corner and I have to meet it seamlessly in order for me to achieve all that I want to achieve.
I attended an assessment centre the other day and boy oh boy did it open my eyes to a few things about myself. Being the friendly, yet reserved, intelligent person (I am modest, really hehe) only gets you so far. I learnt in order to get what you want you need to try that extra bit harder; push yourself a bit further to reach your goals so that you will have no regrets later on even if you do not achieve your initial aim. One thing I do want you to understand is dreams do morph into even greater dreams. With each step that you take to get what you want, take a moment to reflect so that you learn the lesson that each moment has to teach you. Train your mind, body and soul to be behind your objectives 110% of the time...as you take regular breaks to see friends, watch the new episode of Scandal, hop on the treadmill and meditate in God's presence.
Do not be consumed about worrying about the future and what it beholds. Place those worries in God's hands. Rather focus on training yourself to be the best that you can be physically, spiritually, academically, emotionally...and all the other -allys haha by being disciplined...determined...organised...and faithful ;)
This is something that I am working on everyday. We all have dreams and I want to make sure that I am trying my best to do all I can to make them come true :D
Till next time!
Luv, Mo xx
