Identity Crisis: Argh!!
I came across this amazing piece of work done by a 16 yr old girl called Jackie. Her art blog is absolutely wonderful. I cannot draw to save my laptop from dying on me forever but I can appreciate the work of true artists.
I loved this particular picture, which is titled 'Two Sides of Tumblr', because I found it funny and relatable. I am without a doubt like the girl on the right if I am totally honest. Although sometimes I don't think I would mind being like the girl on the left.
I follow far too many beauty and fashion blogs, youtube channels and magazines at the moment. A couple of years ago I couldn't care less about fashion. I would (and still do lol) chose comfort/books/dvds/food over fashionable clothes any day. But now, my priorities are changing I guess. I am becoming more open to the possibility of the fashionista in me making an appearance...from time to time of course :P.
So many people struggle with the annoying fact that they are a far cry from the picture they have painted of who they want to be. I say to take a step back. Evaluate where you are now. Pray to God, asking where is it that you are meant to be. Make a list the things you can change realistically and the steps required to bring about those changes and go for it; provided you are doing it for the right reasons ;)
I wonder... which side do you most relate to?
Till next time!
Luv, Mo xx
