Behind-the-Scenes

Pssst! The Candy Crush Craze

It was bound to happen, let's face it. I have now finished uni and have got quite a bit of time on my hands. The constant flow of coursework requiring my brain to churn and generate solutions to the problems at hand has come to an almighty stop. My brain needs something else to challenge it. Not endless job application forms. No.

Something like:

Looking at it without a care in the world you may think it is a silly children's game and you couldn't be more wrong. It is a frustratingly addictive game that refines your analytical, time management and organisational skills. It is amazing and my new found joy! When I cannot bring myself to apply for graduate jobs I decide to challenge myself by hopping over to my facebook account to play the game. You don't realise when time flies by as you try to top your last score in the least number of moves or the scores of your friends. I didn't think I  had a competitive bone in my body but, when I saw my sister, Mona, had the top score on almost every single level, something snapped lol. It became so much more fun. Now, we've both reached a point in the game where one of our aunts has the top score. But not for looooooong :D

There does come a point in the game where you see this screen:

It kills a little piece of me each time I see it. Lives are lost. Even the sickeningly sweet song that plays in the background that used to send pulses of encouragement with each note begins to bring you tears. I just wait patiently for the day when I see this screen and hear the words:

"xoxo Candy Crush!"

Said by Kristen Bell of course.

One can hope. It would probably chip off a lot more of my spirit but I think it would be quite fitting...in a way. Anyways, just thought I'd update you on what is amusing me at the moment. Not that you care. I just thought I'll say it anyway... :D

I wonder...who else has been won over by the Candy Crush craze?

Till next time!

Luv, Mo xx
