Going Once! Going Twice! Sold!
I have seen the word 'Sale' so many times I am beginning to doubt that is how it is spelt hehe. I must admit that although I do love a good sale I tend not to go overboard when it comes round. Don't get me wrong, my interest in stores I would never normally frequent is heightened but I would like to think that I'm now a certified controlled bargain hunter. However, now that I am no longer a student, I cannot flaunt that magic card to get discounts on stuff all year round. I am now sadly living for the Sales. I know that there will come a time when I will be able to waltz into any store, pay full price for items and not bat an eyelid but I highly doubt that would be a regular occurrence haha. There is a certain...satisfying feeling you get when you get that thing you've been coveting for months at half of the original price.
On my travels through the maze that was Manchester city centre, I manged to snag myself a lovely knitted jumper from Zara (£15.99) and a few bits and bobs from Primark to add to my Comfort collection- socks (£.250); tartan pj set (£3.00); robin themed pj trousers (£3.00); and a cream throw (£3.90). See, if I were a fashion blogger, my posts would mainly consist of lounge wear as comfort is a bit too high on my priority list hehe. I aim to have a Comfort collection that rivals that of Melinda Gordon of Ghost Whisperer as I am 75% sure she did not recycle one pair of her PJs! Actually, on second thought, I would love for my entire wardrobe collection and home decor to rival her's. I swear, she was the first character whose style I really envied. Might dig out my Ghost Whisperer box sets now...
The time has come for me to examine my hair extensively and revive it as it suffered quite a huge setback whilst under the false protection on my braids. I couldn't even summon a single tear at the amount of breakage I encountered as I was that dejected. It was so far from what I had imagined it would look like I was at a loss for words. It was doing so well *sniff* . Anyways, I will get it back on track and reach my goal for next year. Just you wait and see ;) I popped by my local Afro Caribbean hair shop whilst I was in town and grabbed few essentials. I know some people don't like the Cantu Shea Butter leave-in conditioner but my hair loves it, especially when it is slightly damp first. Then I proceed to moisturise and/or seal my hair and throw it in a bun. I must try out new hairstyles as even my hair is getting a bit tired of it.
Superdrug never seems to disappoint me these days. Every time I have gone in over the past few months I have been able to save a few pennies as I top up my beauty product collection that is now growing at an alarming rate :/. I am now a huge fan of the St Ives products due to my friend Lucy aka Luigi introducing me to them a while ago. I have accumulated quite a few of their products since but I've never tried their face wipes. I normally use the ones by Simple (you may know of my obsession with all things Simple from this post) and have never really used anything else but I have decided to be wild and try theirs. But with all the discounts that go in this store, I always miss the time Veet goes on offer. Honestly, it feels like it is almost a luxury to shave these days. Ok, that was slightly dramatic haha. It is not that expensive really...but it sure does feel like it is sometimes.
And there you have it. My definition of a good "Sale Haul".
I hope you found a few good gems during this year's Boxing Day Sales. And if not there is always the January sales...and every impromptu sale that is bound to be held by stores after that :D
Till next time!
Luv, Mo xx
P.S. I did not dare go into hmv or Waterstones to have a good comb through their sale items for fear of spending the little money I have left on things that I think I really need. This was mostly because Santa was quite generous this year in that department :)
