BOOK: REDEEMING LOVE

This is my book of the month:

It is just amazing! Bear in mind that I am only in like chapter 3 lol It is soo captivating. A friend of mine gave it to me to read months ago but I was being a good student and said I wanted to focus on my uni work. Thank goodness I said that because I doubt I would have been on top of my work as I would have been lost in the pages bound the cover of this awesome book. The story is so heartfelt and moving and sad and funny at the same time. I have still got a loooong way to go but it is definitely giving me something to think about. I love how books give me this opportunity to leave my current messed-up state of mind and enter a realm of different possibilities; allowing me to subconsciously solve my problems as I open my mind to the situations others may be facing as well.

A lot has been happening this month that has seriously caused me to rethink the way I am deciding to live my life. Do I really want to follow this generic "How to live your life" map? :

Go to primary school, graduate, go to secondary school, graduate; go to university, graduate; get a job; move out of your parents' house; find a trustworthy partner; settle down; have kids; look after kids; see them grow up; and then kick the bucket as one would say.

Or do I spice things up a bit by adding other life experiences in between the big milestones like travel the world, volunteer in a developing country; learn another language; go back to Nigeria to do my youth service before I find a grad job; take a writing course to give the dream of being a "proper" writer a shot; take a cooking course in Italy (have no idea who would fund this project lol)  etc. I want to allow myself to figure out the things that I can be great at and realise that there are many outcomes in our lives. I want to also allow myslef to relinquish all control, let God take control of my life and learn to truly live.

See, this is what three chapters of reading this book, watching the latest episode of Scandal (What the Huck??!!), watching numerous youtube videos  (the usuals- HeyFranHey, Shirley, Sammi, Patricia, Jim Chapman, Tanya Burr, FleurDeForce), reading blogs (Just Grow Already, A Little Bit of Lacquer, Atlantic Pacific, MyDamnBlog), attending Youth Fellowships and just casually staring at my ceiling has done to me already lol.

Will keep you posted on my thoughts of the book as I read more chapters!

Till next time!

Luv, Mo
