ON THE EDGE: FILM || VOL. 4

So many films, so little time... and money. Mostly money. Saving is a right bee with an itch haha. But in this case it does not pay to dwell on the downside as saving cash is actually a good habit because rainy days do happen so let's get right to it. Below you will find a selection films that are out this month that I would very much like to see. Let me know if any of them have made it on your watch list.

CHAPPIE

I cannot wait to see Chappie. I caught a glimpse of the trailer whilst I was at the cinema one day and was immediately reminded of Wall-E a film I am yet to see actually :/ - and I just knew. I knew this was a film that I had to see sooner or later. Starring Dev PatelSigourney Weaver and Hugh JackmanChappie was directed by the same guy who brought us ElysiumNeill Blomkamp. It was released in the UK on the 6th of March by the way so check your local cinema if they have it if this looks like it is right up your street.

INSURGENT

I am so excited to see this film you do not even know the quarter of it. I was not able to see the first instalment of this series in the cinema last year but I refuse to make the same mistake again. It is said it will be released on the 19th of March so we still have time to ensure we have space in our calendars that allow for us to watch Insurgent on the big screen. If you are still unsure about whether or not to see it, click here to see the trailer if you have not already.

STILL ALICE

If I am perfectly honest I have no idea what this film is about. All I know is several people have claimed that it is indeed a great film and one of Julianne Moore's best performances yet. And as she an actress whose work has always fascinated me I am looking forward to watching this film. I am also diggin' the poster. There is something so simple yet intriguing and draws you in, no? Still Alice is out in cinemas now if you too are curious about the story this movie tells. Check out the trailer here if you are still undecided.

SUITE FRANCAISE

I am not entirely sure what the focus of this film is yet but I am sure it is a World War II drama. Anyway, the poster for Suite Française caught my attention which then led me to discover that both Michelle Williams and RUTH WILSON (!!) a.k.a Alice Morgan - where are my Luther fans at? - are in it and I was sold. It is based on a book that I have clearly not read but have already added to my ever-growing list of books to read. This film is set to be released on the 13th of March but you can catch the trailer here if you are looking to find out more about it.

X+Y

By now you should all know that I do, be default, love films that highlight the awesomeness of Mathematics and I have a feeling x + y is going to do just that. From what I saw in the trailer for this film it seems to be one that has elements of drama, humour and love which is like music to my ears. Plus it is said to be inspired by a true story. It will be released on the 13th of March in case you might want to see it. You can click here to see the trailer.

As we have come to notice over the past few months that I only mange to see two of the films I mention in these posts in the cinema so now I am wondering which two will I see from this list. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Let me know what your thoughts are on the movies you have watched this month be it old ones or new ones.
