DISNEY: THE LITTLE MERMAID
As far as Disney princesses go, Ariel has to be one of my favourites. Why? Because she is almost everything that I am not. She's a mermaid, a driven dreamer, 16 years old and a brilliant singer. When she is into a guy she will stop at nothing to make her intentions known; consequences be damned. She is also an adventurer/ thrill seeker. This girl does love a drama-filled life I tell ya!
How red is her luscious hair? She makes red, green and lilac work for her so effortlessly. I doubt I could do that. Aaand she has found the secret formula for waterproof make-up!! She is an absolute genius :D
This film had a lot of colourful characters and I could spend all day talking about them. But seeing as I do not have that kind of time, nor do you want to spend your whole day reading about them, I shall mention only a few:
Ursula! How evil and scary is Ursula??? She still freaks me out especially when she becomes 100 x her normal size. I remember swearing off the colour purple when I was younger because most of the evil queens seemed to loved it. Now, it is one of my favourite colours...I hope I am not destined to be someone's evil queen bee with an itch :( lol Sebastian is flippin' awesome in this movie. He is a brilliant composer, a trusted friend and compassionate. But I do have to say I have a soft spot for Flounder hehe. He is sooo cute! He is a true and loyal friend that will stick by you no matter how crazy you may be- scouring for treasure in a sunken ship where sharks hang out? smh
And last but not least, Eric. Who can forget about Eric? He is one of the hottest back-in-the-day Disney princes that said more than 3 words! And he actually had a decent role unlike Snow White's Prince Charming...bless him; he probably demanded too much money.
It is too hard for me to pick one song as my favourite one from this movie so I shall share with you the one that isn't always the popular choice of song from 'The little Mermaid' soundtrack:
