Behind-the-Scenes

The Act of Combing

One strand of hair folks!!!

That was all that was found when I combed through my hair yesterday morning :D I would call that a victory but it was a broken strand :'( . Buuuuut it was still only one strand so yay!! I am trying to minimise the use of combs and switch to patient-finger-combing so that I am not prone to loosing my hair strands due to breakage. Shedding is ok as that it a natural thing; as long as its not a ridiculous degree of shedding.

My next touch-up will be on or around the 6th of January, 2013 so I hope I have retained majority of my strands so that my hair will be thicker and longer :)

At the moment, I am using Luster's S Curl "No Drip"Activator Moisturizer to moisturise my hair and sealing it with Grapeseed oil. S Curl used to work wonders for me but now I am not too sure. I swear hair gets tolerant to a moisturiser after a while. I mean, I don't want a greasy look obviously but I would like to put a small amount of moisturiser on my palm and work it through my hair and feel it magically look alive haha. I will continue with it for a week and see how it goes. If it still doesn't "work" then I shall move back to my Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion by SoftSheen Carson. Stopped using that for the same reason- hair just didn't get moisturised :( .

Loving the Grapeseed oil though. Started using it last week and it is amazing. Its so...light? is that the right word? And adds the right amount of sheen as well. Which is perfect for my fine hair strands as it doesn't get weighed down as quickly through the week :)

Here's to happy healthy hair!
