Being 22 Oo Ooo Ooo! At VFNO Manchester
It seems the days of looking forward to one's birthday are looong gone for me. For the past couple of years, whenever my birthday creeps round the corner I spend the week leading up to it reflecting on what I have and have not achieved in the past year.
This year is no different.
However, this year I think I have achieved quite a bit. Especially in this week of reflection. I graduated this year; I started my new grad job on Monday; I attended Vogue's Fashion's Night Out on Thursday; and I am moving into my 1st proper 'Big Girl' flat today.
All very adult of me.
So, I will stop blabbering now and resort to bombarding your eyes with pictures of my VFNO experience :)
P.S. I will obviously be listening to this all night:

This is a little peek at our outfits for the night. I had to quickly rush home after work to get ready whilst my sister (The Chaotic Dreamer) performed her outfit change on the train to Manchester. That girl has got many skills.Once we met up and had a little to eat (Lightly salted Doritoz) we dashed out of the flat and made our way into town to meet up with a friend of ours- Fiona- at the event Whistles held on King Street.
Seeing the stores that were participating in VFNO Manchester and the events they were putting on (as well as the discounts they had) sparked a new found interest in me for the world of fashion.
When we got to Whistles we soon figured out that there were free cocktails making their way around the store as ladies weaved their way through the aisles listening to some great tunes that DJ Dance Lady Dance was churning out. Without being asked by the lovely girls at the door of the Whistle store, we made our way in and joined in on the fun.
After we guzzled our free cocktails and had a look at their line we made our way to the Karen Millen store on the other side of King Street. We found out that the Executive Fashion Editor for Vogue UK, Serena Hood, was giving styling tips to anyone who asked within the store. My sister was spotted by the in-store photographer after she had a personal shopper pick out some items for her to try on and asked Serena what she thought. Serena gave it a seal of approval and even took a picture with her which was so cool.
Have no fear, the pictures end here...for today.
My 22nd year on this earth has been a very interesting one. I have grown up in many ways but have also learnt that there is so much I am yet to learn. I am looking forward to making the next year a great one and appreciating every moment (the good and the bad) that I find myself in. I want to say a big shout out to my family and friends for being there for me and not letting my slightly frequent calls go straight voicemail.
To those who are celebrating their birthday today or another day-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Hope it is a fabulous one ;)
Till next time!
Luv, Mo xx
