New Buys
Ok, so don't judge me but every true passenger on the "Hair Journey" train knows that acquiring products is just part of this journey.
I have now invested in a satin bonnet!
Now, you might be thinking, "She has only just purchased a satin bonnet? I thought she has been on this so-called journey for 10 months". Ha-ha I am not that bad. I have been using a silk scarf but it wasn't covering my whole head and therefore parts of my hair were exposed to the horrors of non-silk/satin sheets. I never decided to get the bonnet because I just couldn't justify spending £3-6 on a bonnet when I had a scarf at home. But sadly, it just had to be done *shaking my head* :( . Tried it on last night and it was actually alright. Didn't really want to as it is bright red haha. It was the only colour left in the shop and I had made the effort to walk all the way to the Afro-carribean hair shop to get it. I was a bit skeptical about using it as I assumed it will just come off sometime throughout the night but it didn't. So- yay!!
I also got the Roux Porosity Control Corrector & Conditioner thingy. Now, you will be right in thinking, "She has only just purchased a porosity control conditioner". pH imbalance is the next thing on my list to tackle. I am due to relax my hair this weekend and the last 3 weeks have been hell. I have stretched my relaxer for 14 weeks now and when I try to moisturize my hair, the moisture just didn't seem to penetrate into my hair. It just looks dull and feels brittle and dry which baffled me as I have never had this issue before. So, I hit youtube and the blogs once again and came across this little bad boy-Roux Porosity Control Corrector & Conditioner. I shall be trying it before I get my relaxer done to see if will help. I hope it does if not it will be yet another bottle gathering dust on my haircare shelf. Yes, shelf. I have had to dedicate an entire shelf to all my products *shaking my head*. Once I work out how to add photos I'll post a picture.
Other students are blowing their student loans on alcohol, nights out, trips etc and I'm buying shampoos, natural oils, applicator bottles etc. Oh, how our priorities differ :D
Luv, Mo xx
