Behind-the-Scenes

Wash Day: Soft Hair Gone Wild

This was one of the weirdest wash days I've had so far last night:

  1. Pre-poo'd with a mixture of oils- Grapeseed oil, JBCO, Tea Tree oil and Rosemary oil- had it in my hair for about 10 mins as it was 11 pm.
  2. Rinsed out oils and found my hair super soft.
  3. Shampooed my hair with Creme of Nature's Sunflower & Coconut Detangling Conditioning Shampoo which left my hair even softer and slightly easier to detangle.
  4. Conditioned my hair with a mixture of Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner and virgin coconut oil for 30 mins.
  5. Rinsed that out and hair still felt nice and soft.
  6. Used ApHogee's Pro-Vitamin Leave-In Conditioner and then proceeded to detangle my hair.
  7. Started from the ends and found my comb entangled with broken strands of hair.
  8. Threw comb across the room and left hair to air dry.
  9. YES! Without detangling my hair because I was soooooo close to making the final decision to go natural. I have been dancing around the idea for months now but we'll see.
So, now I am dealing with my still soft mane with my trusty detangling spritz (click here) one tiny section at a time. It's not going too badly actually. Finger detangling it is for me I think which kind of sucks because I have just ordered a new set of combs :( lool

I definitely need to somehow reinforce some strength in my hair strands. Might look into getting a bottle of Motions' CPR Protein Reconstructor. That used to work wonders for my hair back in the day...

Oh well, till next time!

Luv, Mo xx
