Dissertation Dilemma
It's great and scary being in my final year.
It is one of the first times in my 4 years at uni where I am truly in charge of how and when I accomplish the tasks I have to do. Dissertation is a time close to the end of your student career (being a student is work! lol) where you are left to your own devices. I am finding it slightly weird at the moment in the sense that I feel like I have to have a walking calender- you know, the big ones that go on your wall?- that tells me, in detail, where I need to be and what I need to do.

My project is lab based and requires a lot of time to set up. I haven't even got my experiments up and running yet and its already week 3 :( I guess procrastination has played a role already but I want to kill that character off in the story of 'Mo's Finally Graduating!' like yesterday! Lol.
Today, I plan on getting a lot done- relax my hair; write up my literature review on my project; figure out how to get the most out of the reaction I'm setting up; and find a way to make the whole experience fun!
Hope I get most, if not all, of it done. If you have any pieces of coursework or projects or tasks that you need to complete on time, how are you organising your time efficiently? Lastminute.com should not be anyone's motto but occasionally we are prone to opt for that way of working now and again. How do you motivate yourself to finish your tasks ahead of time? I tend to panic about the tiniest of things so it's relatively easy to get me started on my work. But then again, I am a stickler for detail and that tends to make me "waste" time.
Hmm...well, whatever your methods are, try and figure out your weaknesses are in relation to your work ethic and try and pan them out before you get too used to it. Trust me, it can be hard to shake 'em.
Good luck!
Till next time!
Luv, Mo xx
