The Kitchen, the Girl and the Blender
At the beginning of the year I said that this will be a year of change...or evolution...no, change
.
.
*nods head*
And the aspect of my life that I am changing this month is my eating habits. Now, I know we are all prone to reach for that chocolate bar (actually, I don't like chocolate all that much :O) or box of doughnuts (with sugar all over it and jam in the middle- yum!) instead of a piece of fruit but all that is going to change.
Well, for me anyways.
I have now gotten my self a blender for soup-ing and smoothie-ing. I think it's the coolest blender I've ever seen:
I love the way I can store it haha. And it has sticky-feet-thingymabobs on the bottom of it so that it sticks to the surface :O. So, now I shall be making those ever so popular green smoothies for breakfast (Bleurgh!) and soups for dinner to try and detox my system. Also, I am gonna try to start cooking again. Like proper cooking- fresh vegetables and everything.
*sigh*
It's so much effort and takes aaaages. Whoever started the beans on toast trend is an absolute legend! lol. So quick and effective. Got your carbs, protein, fats, oils, minerals etc Everything! It's a freaking balanced meal, that lol. And to back that up- me trying to cook, not beans on toast being a balanced meal- I have a snapshot of my dinner this evening:
Who knows if it is remotely healthy. All I know is it tasted yummy! I had some cous cous with carrots, swede and chicken stir-fry; and of course it was a stir-fry mix bag- carrots, onions, cabbage (50%) and beansprout (50%) :D. I have to start small folks. I did use some Oyster sauce though. I got well excited as it started to smell like a Chinese restaurant in my kitchen. And no, I did not use olive oil as mine has run out...use that golden stuff for my hair lol. Check out my priorities smh lol.
I wonder how many of you have decided to hop on the HEJ - healthy eating journey. Ha! Heck, I wonder how long I'll last. I also traded in my beloved Flora and Stork for Bertolli. It's funny how they are all made by Unilever. Smh. Hope that beans on toast still tastes the same...
*sigh*
Join me guys! Hehe. Let's attempt to eat slightly healthier in the hopes that we actually do eat healthier from now on :)
It is even beneficial for that desired hair growth!
Till next time!
Luv, Mo xx
